His dad writes:
Some saw Ian as just an oversized blind person. Others looked deeper and saw him for what he was,
a kind, generous, warm and intelligent human being, who had undergone much suffering and who still
had a happy nature and a strong faith.
It is a privilege to have known Ian, let alone to have been his father.
If there is a heaven, Ian will be there.
His sister Sarah writes:
Ian was special to me in the way only big brothers can be. He was the most genuine man I have ever
come across and I am privileged to be his sister, even though I know I tormented him in the way
that only little sisters can!
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you all to tell everyone special to you that you
love them tonight, because you never know when you won't have a chance to in the morning.
Heaven gained an angel on the 16th June 2004. We are in hell without him.
